Legal
Terms of service
What InsureCard is, what it is not, and what you agree to when you make a card.
This is a draft for review, not yet a legal agreement. The final terms will be published here before public launch.
InsureCard is software, not an insurance company
InsureCard is a tool for making a public page, your card, and collecting the requests people send from it. InsureCard is not an insurance agency, producer, broker or carrier. It does not sell, solicit, negotiate or recommend insurance, it is not a party to anything between you and your clients, and it does not give insurance, legal or tax advice.
Your licenses and what you publish
Everything on a card comes from its owner. InsureCard does not check licenses: the Licensed badge shows the details you enter, with a link visitors can use to check a license with their state. You agree to:
- hold the licenses and appointments your card says you hold, and keep those details current;
- follow the advertising and marketing rules that apply to you, including your states’, your carriers’ and, for Medicare, the federal rules;
- follow the laws on calling, texting and emailing the people who contact you, including the consent they gave;
- publish only what you have the right to publish, and nothing false or misleading.
InsureCard does not review your card for compliance. Its ready-made forms ask for call and text consent and keep the wording a visitor agreed to, but whether your card and your follow-up meet the rules stays your responsibility.
Leads
Requests sent from your card go to you: to your lead inbox and, if you choose, your email. InsureCard does not sell, share or resell them, and does not contact the people who send them.
Your account and plan
You can change or delete your card at any time. Billing, renewals and refunds will be set out here when the plan and its price are final.
What is still to be written
Acceptable use, suspension and termination, warranties, limitation of liability, the company behind InsureCard, governing law and how to reach us.
