What InsureCard keeps about agents and about the people who contact them, and why.
This is a draft for review, not yet the final policy. The final policy will be published here before public launch.
Who is responsible for what
InsureCard is software for insurance agents, not an insurance agency or producer. When you send a request from an agent’s card, the agent decides what to do with it. InsureCard stores it and delivers it to that agent, and does not use it for anything else.
If you have a card
- Your sign-in details, handled by our sign-in provider.
- What you put on your card: your name, photo, title, lines of business, license details, links and contact details.
- Visits and clicks on your card, so you can see how it is used.
If you contact an agent
A form keeps what you type, such as your name, phone, email, ZIP code and the coverage you ask about, with the card and form you used. When you agree to be called or texted, it keeps the exact wording you agreed to and when. The agent sees it in their lead inbox and, if they turned it on, gets it by email.
InsureCard does not sell or share these details, and never contacts you itself about insurance.
Deleting
An agent can delete a lead; its answers are removed and only the date, card and form are kept. An agent can delete their account and card at any time.
What is still to be written
The company behind InsureCard, the service providers that host and deliver data for us, how long each kind of data is kept, your rights under US state privacy laws and how to reach us about them.
